Show Your Thirst for a Cleveland Cavs Championship at Jackie O’s
Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery owner Art Oestrike is best known for Jackie O’s and their Athens-brewed beers, but his latest business move is a hat-tip to his Cleveland roots. With basketball season just a few days away, we’re excited to announce that Jackie O’s will become the Athens’ home base for Clevelanders and Ohioans alike by screening every Cavaliers game of the 2014-15 NBA season.
“Showing Cavs games at Jackie O’s is a chance to show our allegiance to all the great things Cleveland stands for. I grew up in Cleveland, I love it there—though I wasn’t too happy with LeBron James for a few years. His apology and true passion for Northeast Ohio meant the world to me. I can let bygones be bygones as we all make mistakes,” Oestrike laughed.
Fans can catch the first game of the season at 8 p.m. on October 30 when the Cavs square up against the New York Knicks. Games will be shown on television at the public house, as well as on the projector screen(s) when music acts do not interfere. Based on demand, viewings may expand to the brew pub.
