Chomolungma Day – May 23rd, 2014

This year, with Chomolungma in full distribution throughout Ohio, thanks to a our partnership with Cavalier Distributors, Jackie O’s will be celebrating ChomoLUNGma Day on Friday, May 23, the anniversary of Brian Oestrike’s summit of Mount Everest.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with our honey nut brown ale, the name “Chomolungma” (pronounced Cho-mo-LUNG-ma) means  ‘Mount Everest’ if you are speaking Tibetan. This beer is close to Jackie O’s as the first batches were brewed all organic and a dollar of every pint from the brewpub went to Brian’s climb, as well as donated LUNGevity in honor of Art’s mother.

The Dayton Daily Paper did a great backstory on this beer & this day, which you can check out on their website.

Look for Chomolungma on tap throughout the state, served in commemorative glassware. A portion of the proceeds go to LUNGevity, the charity associated with Brian’s climb. Patrons and retailers are encouraged to donate to LUNGevity.org to support the fight against a disease that has affected nearly everyone.

The full list of participating retailers is still being finalized, but below is the most current listing of locations where you can find Chomolungma on draft or in cans, commemorative glassware and other Chomolungma swag on Friday May 23, 2014!!! Stop in and grab yourself a Chomolungma Brown Ale, or two!!

On May 23, join us in raising a pint to the Oestrike family, lung cancer research & the spirit of the climb.
