Bottles, Jackie O's in Europe, and Columbus Beer Week

This week is a big week for bottles at Jackie O’s! At the production facility, we will be bottling 2015 Dark Apparition, 2015 Bourbon Barrel Brick Kiln and potentially bottling up 2015 PawPaw Wheat. When available the brews will be on sale at the Taproom (25 Campbell), where we are boasting really awesome upgrades in the space itself by way of beautiful new shelves and tap handles, as well as food available by way of food cart every day at 5 p.m. Our new dart league plans to meet every Thursday – if interested, stop by to sign up (or leave your email in a comment or message on our Facebook)!

Designs for the expansion are going to the state this week. We should see action within a month – can you believe it? We are so excited to continue our growth here in Athens as it makes our products more accessible around the state, and hopefully, someday, around the country. Expect progress pics!

Ohio University Mom’s Weekend was an absolute success at the Brewpub and Public House, with good patio weather to boot! Our Union Street locations should see some changes soon. Mike Myers Construction has been working on the roof of the Union, which means our kitchen space is coming back to us sometime this summer hopefully.

Jackie O’s is hitting Europe! We will be at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration (April 27 – May 3) and have a collaboration with London’s Siren Craft Brew in just a few weeks, too.

The past few weeks have been full of events. We held a beer dinner on April 20 at the Hyatt in Cleveland and attended the Craft Brewer’s Conference in Portland last week, too. We’re preparing for Columbus Beer Week – find us at Short North Pint House on Wednesday, May 6, starting at 5 p.m., at 16-Bit on Thursday, May 7 starting at 6 p.m. and Local Cantina in Clintonville on Saturday, May 9 for a breakfast-friendly event.

Our bottle release is only a few short weeks away – don’t forget to mark your calendars for May 8 and 9th! Brad has a blog post planned for later this week that will provide more details on that event.
