Double Barrel Dark Apparition
Russian Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels and white port casks
Seven malts were used to create deep flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. A hint of bitterness and herbal character from carefully selected European and American hops help support the monolithic maltiness. After aging patiently in bourbon casks for 13 months, Double Barrel Dark Apparition was then transferred to freshly-dumped white Port casks for an additional 6 months. Deep notes of burnt caramel, dark sweet cherries, vanilla, and dark chocolate.
