Jackie O’s & Ohio Athletics Present Ricky! Available now!

Ohio Athletics and Jackie O’s are excited to announce an expanded relationship that includes a collaboration with an officially licensed beer. Twelve-packs of the Athens-inspired Golden Ale, Ricky, are now available in the State of Ohio co-branded with Jackie O’s and the Ohio Athletics logo. The partnership is managed through Ohio Sports Properties.

“Jackie O’s is a natural fit for a branded beer collaboration,” Director of Athletics Julie Cromer said. “We’re excited about the partnership with a Bobcat-owned, local brand that will resonate with our fanbase. Bobcat fans will be able to enjoy Ricky in Peden Stadium, the Convocation Center, and across the state of Ohio.”

Officially licensed through CLC, OHIO’s licensing partner, the 12-packs, dubbed Rick Bricks, a play on the brick foundations that cover Athens, sports a brand new design paying homage to Athens and Ohio University. Ricky is the number one draft beer both in Jackie O’s facilities and statewide.

A staple of Athens, and now Columbus, at their On Fourth location, Jackie O’s is owned by Ohio University graduate and instructor Art Oestrike. As a pillar of the Athens community, Jackie O’s focuses on locally inspired and produced products with a strong commitment toward sustainability.

“I feel like I, personally, have come a really long way since my days in James Hall way back when,” said Art Oestrike. “We are honored and feel very humbled by the opportunity for Jackie O’s to present this collaboration to alumni in and around the great state of Ohio with Ohio University!”

Ricky can be found in stores everywhere Cavalier Distributing services throughout the state of Ohio. Ricky is also available at Peden Stadium during all Ohio Football games and at the Convocation Center.
