The Public House is a full restaurant offering a locally sourced menu, including multiple daily specials, homemade bread from the Jackie O’s Bakeshop & spent grain crust specialty pizzas. Pair your pizza with a pint from our selection of 30 different draft beers.
The Brewpub is the original location of Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery. It is a favorite late night spot that features a selection of 18 drafts and a full bar.
The Taproom and Production Brewery is our large production facility. Here you can enjoy beer straight from the source, with 16 Jackie O’s taps, exclusive vintage bottles, and a large selection of carryout cans, bottles, select kegs, and a variety of merchandise.
There is metered parking on West Union Street in front of the Public House Restaurant, as well as on other cross streets in the Athens uptown area. You can pay for the meters with coins, credit/debit cards, or via the free Park Mobile app. There is also a metered parking garage located at 7 E Washington Street in Athens.
Yes! The Uptown Brewpub is available for private events Sunday-Friday. Catering is only available from our Uptown Brewpub catering menu. For more information, please email [email protected].
No, the Public House Restaurant is not available to rent out for events. If you are interested in booking an event with us, the Jackie O’s Brewpub right next door to the Public House Restaurant may be available. For more details visit our private events page.
The Taproom and Brewery are only available for public events. Reach out to [email protected] to schedule a public event.
We take reservations at our Taproom location. To reserve a table please reach out to [email protected].
Please note, the Public House Restaurant location is first-come, first-served.
Yes, we offer brewery tours by appointment only for up to 20 people (age 21 and older) at the cost of $10 per person and includes a pint of one of our core products. Please contact [email protected] to schedule a tour.
Pets are welcome at our Taproom patio ONLY, and must be on a leash at all times and remain at your table.
Yes, gift cards can be purchased on our online store for use on our online store ONLY or physical gift cards can be purchased for use at the Public House Restaurant and the Taproom locations. We also have seperate gift cards for our Jackie O’s on Fourth location in Columbus, which can be purchased on the Columbus online store.
Please note, there are three different types of gift cards:
- An online store gift card that can only be used for our online store and will be emailed to the recipient, which can be purchased HERE
- A Public House Restaurant and Taproom gift card that can only be used in these two locations and will be mailed to the recipient, which can be purchased HERE or in person at either location
- A gift card specifically for the Columbus location, which can be purchased HERE

In regards to the shelf life of our cans, we suggest drinking within 30 days of purchase for optimal freshness.
Our cans of IPAs, Double IPAs, and Pales Ales have a shelf life of 90 days. Other styles, such as wheat ales, brown ales, etc. have a shelf life of 120 days. At no point will the cans be unsafe to drink.
As far as barrel aged bottles, we believe we have done the aging for you and encourage you to drink the bottles upon purchasing them.
